The importance of taking a technology class teaches you how to work and manage a computer. Learning these skills allows you to have more experience working with them for jobs in that field. Many jobs today do include some sort of technology. Learning to be comfortable and productive while on one can come in handy. I've taken two technology classes (multimedia and graphic design) and this year I am taking Personal Finance and Accounting which is an online coarse. These classes have taught me how to use iMovie, Weebly, Moodle, Edmodo, and to upload Youtube videos among many other things. I have made many projects promoting the school, my clubs and a veterans day projects.
So I think your digital footprint is really important because it can effect your future. If you go to a job interview and they see anything bad or something that they don't want representing there company, they won"t hire you. Also you don't want people looking at you differently if they knew what you did online. It can effect your social life drastically. Digital citizenship is protecting our own and others private information online, communicating responsible and kindly with one another, stand up to cyber bullying, give proper credit when we use others work, respecting others ideas and opinions, and to correctly identify your sources. Check out these websites below to learn more information on your digital footprint and digital citizenship.
My year has been filled with many challenges. I've had some extremely hard classes as a junior, these include Pre-calc, Physics, Econ and Civics, and English 11. I've had to study vigorously for all of my classes and am now currently studying for exams. In my graphic design class we have learned how to use PS express, photoshop, adobe light room, take candid pictures, learn to use our IPhones and iPads as a high powered camera, create a festival poster, create a event flyer, do an aging photo, build and animated gif, create a logo, retouch pictures, how to create a magazine cover, blur a photo, learn a done fix, and how to create a fearless photo. I have learned many things this year and will continue to use my graphic design skills if i ever need them for a college project or to use them to just do simple things like how to clear up and image. Check out all of my projects that I have done through out the year on my PROJECTS tab above!
It teaches us how we can see our world. Up close or far away there is so much to learn and see of our world. This app lets you zoom in and out almost like a google street view but detailed. It would be so hard to create this and to make the program. There were many things that went into making this program and the people creating i thad to be very skilled with computers and programing. This program can help out many people including tourists, students, teachers and many, many more. Legacy. what does legacy mean to you. what people think about you after you have died. sometimes legacy's are small like from a school sport or a hard class. you hear many people say "remember that hit that they had last year" or "they were the only person ever to get that problem". Those are small legacy's. The ones that you don't know you are making. In high school there's a class legacy and a individual legacy. I think that not many people will really think about me too much, I haven't done anything super bad for them to involve my name in that. teacher will remember me for my work ethic, my attitude and my involvement within the school environment. It's important to leave a good legacy because when employers asked about your past or they call people from where you came from they will want goo responses nothing that will make you look bad. overall your individual and class legacy's are important.
In the video it discuses that everybody dies but does everybody really live. In today's world so many people are so used to "going with the flow" or "just tagging along". Nobody really takes charge of there life and goes for what they want. A lot of people are filled with doubt about going after they want for fear of failing at it. Complacency is when you don't really have a say, you're just there to be there. i see this in others all the time, not sticking up for each other. not taking charge of what they really want. there needs to more livign and not just doing the same thing day to day. To be lean means communicating so your message travels far without you having to carry it to all those places yourself. Lean means having lean diagrams that are quickly comprehensible. It also means that we should be building building that are more sustainable for our environment. After our teachers went up to systems control, they asked if a list of the best mathematics and science students could come up and take a tour of the building to work for summer jobs. This would be working in the engineering field and many other job opportunities. I plan to attend the trip and to work there as a summer job. This I think I would enjoy doing in the summer other then any other job. They are looking for students from this area to work there because the are having trouble filling the up there areas of engineering and they want students to get a feel of there work place and to have the continue to work there without there life. Most workers end up leaving to a different job or moving away.
My spring break starts tomorrow. my parents are leaving to go and see my brother and I'm staying home to take care of the house and the animals. My grandma will be staying with me. I'm so excited to have a full week of school off. My plans for spring break include going to the YMCA to work out, watching movies and sleeping. I need a beak from school work and just need time to relax. Today we got over 4 inches of heavy snow so now I wont be able to do all of the stuff that I wanted to outside.
For spring break previous years I have been to Mexico and Florida. I've traveled quite a bit for being so young, bu this year my family is driving to Minnesota to see my brother and his wife and kids. I will not be joining them, I will be staying home for about four days. I know where Norway is because I've lived here my whole life. I will probably hangout with my friends and go to the YMCA a lot during break. Coming back from spring break we have a college trip and are studying for the SAT.
The Norway basketball varsity boys team has over come the odds and won against (now 18-3) Iron mountain in the district game earlier this week. Tonight the Knights go against Carney in the district final game. To show support, Norway high school students are making the event a blue out. Many students will be showing the school pride by wearing the navy blue at tonight's games. The Norway high school is also having a pep rally to get the student body involved in the event. My question for them is.. how did you prepare in the off season to come in and get this win as a team tonight? To make the event more special students will have Knight posters and items that will help support our team and school.
